Family dance parties are a daily ritual for us and nothing gets the party started more than "Happy" by Pharrell Williams.  Since its one of my son's favorite songs I thought it would be fun to recreate one of the looks from the music video for Sew in Tune. | SEW IN TUNE | | SEW IN TUNE | | SEW IN TUNE | | SEW IN TUNE | | SEW IN TUNE | | SEW IN TUNE |

Sew in Tune is a music inspired sewing series for boys co hosted by Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy Crafts and Melly Sews.  I had the grand idea of making a hat and bow tie for this series.  Unfortunately the hat did not make it into the post.  It's a decent looking hat, but looked nothing like the hat I intended to make So I scrapped it.

My son LOVES bow ties, but he does not like the neck band.  I don't like anything too close to my neck either, so I added a clip in the back of the bow tie and he did not put up a fight to wear it. #mommywin  The shorts are cut offs from a baggy pair of jeans we had in the Goodwill pile and I altered the oxford shirt to give it a slim fit.

To coincide with the release of the single Pharrell launch a website to feature "the world's first 24 hour music video".  The website is a live feed of Pharrell, along with various everyday people and celebrities dancing and lip syncing to the song.  I couldn't help but in on the action... Check out our music video on the mingo & grace Facebook or Instagram page.

Thank you Melissa & Stacey for inviting us on this tour.
