SIMPLE T-SHIRT DRESS

It's officially summer and its really starting to heat up outdoors. Ella has pretty much outgrown all of her dresses from last summer so I've been sewing up a few new pieces to add to her wardrobe. This blue and white striped t-shirt dress is a summer wardrobe staple.  I love the fresh new look of the  broken spray painted lines of this nautical stripe fabric.

To make the pattern for this dress, I just traced one of Ella's t-shirts onto a sheet of paper and elongated the side seams to make it knee length. That's it. I'd be happy to share my pattern once I make a few tweaks to the neckline --- I had a hard time getting the dress over Ella's head. I guess her legs weren't the only thing that grew since last summer.  Ha!
