When I was contacted by Pattern Anthology to participate in the Winter Wonderland Collection Pattern Tour, I didn't even finish reading the entire email before I replied YES! Pattern Anthology is the collaborative work of four independent pdf pattern industry rock stars - Blank Slate Patterns, See Kate Sew Patterns, Go To Patterns, and Shwinn Designs, that have teamed up for a limited run pattern collection for both boys and girls. I signed up to sew the Berkshire Blazer, but you can check out the full collection here.

The Berkshire Blazer's shawl collar screams warm and cozy. So, I decided to use a soft and cuddly sweatshirt fabric I had in my stash and lined it in a teal green cotton blend for a pop of color and added warmth.
The Berkshire Blazer is technically a boys pattern, but I knew I could easily "femme" it up by making a few adjustments. First, I curved the jacket front pieces to give the blazer a bit of an equestrian feel. Then I pinched the pockets (like you would if you were making a hair bow) to create the decorative pockets that I placed on an angle. I love how this blazer turned. I can't wait to make one for my son.
Now to that scarf tutorial I told you about. Infinity scarves are perfect for toddlers, because
they stay put. I don't know how many scarves we've lost because they
simply fell off or was dragged through the street. I know you've probably seen hundreds of DIY Infinity Scarf Tutorials, but not one as easy as my DIY Infinity Scarf Tutorial.I'm going to show you how to upcycle any sweater into this cold weather staple. This will be real quick, so pay attention.
Here's what you'll need:
- A very large sweater. (I found this cashmere beauty at my neighborhood yard sale for $5)
- A very large sweater. (I found this cashmere beauty at my neighborhood yard sale for $5)
- Scissors

Don't throw away the sweater sleeves, use them to make cozy boots toppers.
