BOOK LOVE: FLOATING BOOKSHELVES

mingo & grace || FLOATING BOOKSHELVES
We love books.  It's my favorite children's gift to give and receive. So much so, we are running out of shelf space.  We had a few rows of the Ikea Ribba shelves in the kid's bedroom, but its not nearly enough to accommodate all of their books.

Our only option to display books safely in their bedroom was to mount shelves on the brick wall. (urrrggghhh)  I thought the white shelves would take away from the brick wall, so I purchased six of the 36 x  3 1/2 inch deep shelves from Clear Display.com that I first spotted on the wall over at FrecklesChick. I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

The 3 1/2 inch deep shelves accommodate several books.

The 36 inch shelves fit perfectly into the brick nook.  People always ask if they were custom made. (as if!)

Such a cool addition to the kid's room.

  2. Love it! It seriously looks barely there-- I just love how it shows off the books!
